Welcome to PaScal Suite

The Parallel Scalability Suite (PaScal Suite) is a set of tools designed to evaluate the scalability trends of parallel programs. It simplifies the execution, measurement, and comparison of multiple runs of a parallel application, enabling the analysis of scalability patterns across configurations with varying numbers of processing elements and workloads.

PaScal Suite integrates two components — the PaScal Analyzer and the PaScal Viewer — and provides visual elements that help users understand program behavior and identify scalability bottlenecks that may require further optimization.

The suite is designed to support the development and analysis of parallel programs running on a single shared-memory compute node, with future versions planned to support distributed programs across multiple nodes.

Navigate through the sections to learn more about performance versus scalability concepts, and the specifics of the PaScal Analyzer and PaScal Viewer tools.
